The same number of parts, assembled by two habits. Both work on the day they ship. What separates them is how much somebody has to hold in their head before they can safely change anything — and that cost is paid every month after the build, by whoever inherits it.

Translation between business and technical work Turning objectives into specifications engineers can act on, and technical constraints into terms a decision can be made against. Identifying where a given technology is genuinely worth applying, and where it is not.
Standards and governance Consistent definitions, clear ownership and processes that hold up when the output is scrutinised. The aim is that teams argue about decisions rather than about whose number is right.
